Llanelli AM Keith Davies is sending his congratulations to A-level students from across Llanelli and the Gwendraeth who are receiving their results today.
Students have been finding out all morning how their grades will affect their future career prospects.
Keith Davies AM said:
“Firstly, I think all students should be really proud of themselves today. The results achieved are a result of two years hard work, which I hope will open the door to bigger and better things for pupils from across the Llanelli constituency.
“Whilst it is getting harder to secure a university place, there are many options open to young people when they finish their academic studies. I fully support the Welsh Labour Government’s aim to improve educational standards across Wales, but to also increase the number of apprenticeships which can be even more rewarding for some young people.
“Secondly, I also want to pay tribute to the teachers and parents for the support and encouragement they have provided with coursework and the exam process.”
