As one who was brought up in a mining village in the Amman Valley I believe in a just and fair society which is supported by a strong public service. Most of my career has been with local authorities during which I was an active member of a trade union representing colleagues at both local and national level. I believe as a Labour activist that people can achieve more by working together than by working alone, The only way to create the kind of society I believe in is through democratic processes where power is a shared responsibility and not based on wealth and privilege. Primarily I am a people person and love working with people at community or national level and would strive to make Llanelli and the Gwendraeth a great place to live and work.
